The South Australian Health System
Professional connections is working in association with the South Australian Department of Health (SA DoH) and Geneva Health International are working to recruit Registered Nurses and Midwives to metropolitan, suburban and rural hospitals all across the South Australian Territory.

The Department of Health has the primary responsibility to fund public hospital services, metropolitan and country health service delivery, environmental health, communicable diseases, epidemiology and health promotion and education. In addition, the SA DoH runs numerous other Health Programmes and has a strategic plan to increase life expectancy and decrease the number of cases related to obesity, smoking, infant mortality and psychiatric distress, all in under 10 years.
South Australia's population is highly concentrated in urban areas with around 80% of its inhabitants living in the Adelaide and outer surrounding area. South Australia has seven Regional Health Services, each providing a different range of services to meet the needs of their local communities. There are nine public hospitals in the Metropolitan Adelaide area and sixty-three in the South Australia region.
