Living & Working in South Australia
After all the paperwork is complete, the references checked, proper authorities notarised, the registration and processing fees paid and employment contracts are offered and accepted, each candidate must embark on their journey half way around the world to South Australia. Although at this point the 'recruitment process' is complete, Professional Connections involvement is far from over.
Arrival
Although months of preparation are put into each candidates recruitment process to South Australia there are inevitably going to be nerves and niggling uncertainties at the time of departure. For this reason Professional Connections organises a "Meet 'n' Greet" service so that each candidate has a friendly face and a helping hand on arrival. Although brief, the service gives each candidate a thorough orientation to their new environment, advice on local issues and possible problems and a re-assuring guide on how to get started in their new environment.
Accommodation
One of the greatest incentives for the South Australian 'recruitment campaign' is the length at which the host hospitals go to accommodate overseas nurses. These hospitals offer numerous concessions, the most generous being their offers on accommodation. Each candidate is entitled to two months free accommodation, paid for by the host hospital, giving them time to adjust and settle into their new environment.
After the candidate's arrival Professional Connections is always on hand for information and advice regarding acclimatisation to life in South Australia.
