IELTS, The International English Language Testing System (Germany)
Tests are arranged approximately once a month. Can be done in any location in which it is arranged. In Germany IELTS is arranged in Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Leipzig, Oldenburg, Cologne, Munich and Saarbrücken.

The test has two formats: Academic and General Training. Academic is the requirement for the New South Wales Nurses and Midwives Board. The test consists of 4 parts: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
The total test time is 3 hours. Allowing for breaks and the Speaking test timetable, you should expect to attend for 5 hours altogether. All parts are done on the same day. Results are published within 2 weeks. If you fail the test, you cannot repeat it within 3 months.
You are awarded a score on a 9-point scale, a grade that is valid for two years. Acceptable result for the New South Wales Nurses and Midwives Board: a minimum of 6.5 on each of the four components and a minimum overall score of 7.
