Liverpool Hospital Maternity Services
Liverpool Hospital became a principal teaching hospital of the University of N.S.W. in 1989. Associated with this and the needs of the increasing population of south-west Sydney, major redevelopment of the Hospital has taken place, with the current program now nearly complete.
The Women’s Inpatient Unit at Liverpool Hospital comprises Antenatal, Obstetrics, Post Natal, Birthing Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care, and a Women’s Health outpatient department. The Women’s Inpatient Unit has approximately 3,200 births each year. Liverpool Hospital is a tertiary referral centre for both metropolitan Sydney and the State of New South Wales.
Flexible rotating rosters are offered. Professional development and educational opportunities are encouraged.
