Bathurst Base Hospital Maternity Unit has 14 beds with 3 birthing suites.  The obstetric service is classified as level three with  approximately 600 births annually.  Their nursery is a Level 2b SCN that has about 90 admissions annually.  The Maternity Unit has a friendly group of Midwives with a strong philosophy for women centred care, and active birth principles.
